What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.

We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!

An entry-level small-form-factor business desktop with an Intel Core i3-4130, 8 GB of RAM, a 250 GB hard drive and a DVD writer. Supplied with no operating system installed, and covered by a 3-month Reboot IT warranty.
The i3-4130 is a Haswell-generation dual-core with Hyper-Threading, presenting four logical threads at 3.4 GHz. In practical terms it is comfortable with the basics — email, word processing, spreadsheets that are not enormous, web browsing with a moderate number of tabs, and line-of-business or terminal applications. It is not a machine for heavy multitasking, and it will show its age if you push it.
As with most desktops of this vintage, the 250 GB mechanical hard drive is the component that most limits how responsive the machine feels. Replacing it with a SATA SSD is inexpensive and produces a far bigger improvement in boot and application-launch time than anything else available on this platform. The 8 GB of RAM fitted is sufficient for the workloads this machine suits.
This is best understood as a purpose-built machine rather than a general-use desktop. It works well as a Linux box, a print or scan station, a stock-control or point-of-sale terminal, a workshop test bench, or a spare kept on a shelf for when something fails. Anyone needing Windows 11, or expecting to run demanding software, should choose a newer generation, as this processor falls outside the Windows 11 supported list.

| Grade | What To Expect |
|---|---|
| A — Excellent | Excellent to very good cosmetic condition. May carry light scratches or faint marks that are not obvious in normal use. Fully tested and functionally as-new. |
| B — Good | Good cosmetic condition with visible signs of prior use — scuffs, scratches or minor blemishes on the casing. Cosmetic only; function is identical to Grade A. |
Grading is cosmetic. Every unit is functionally tested to the same standard regardless of grade. This product has no internal battery, so battery grading does not apply.
Why is no operating system installed?
This machine is supplied deliberately without an OS. Its processor generation falls outside the Windows 11 supported list, so rather than ship an unsupported install we leave it clear for Linux, a customer-supplied Windows licence, or your own corporate image.
Can it run Windows 11?
Not officially. The Core i3-4130 is a 4th-generation Intel processor and is not on the Microsoft supported CPU list for Windows 11. If Windows 11 is required, choose a machine with an 8th-generation processor or newer.
Will fitting an SSD make a difference?
Yes, and it is by far the most effective upgrade for this machine. The 250 GB mechanical drive is the main limit on responsiveness, and a standard SATA SSD drops straight into the existing bay.
Can I add more memory?
Yes. The board takes standard DDR3 DIMM modules, so increasing the 8 GB fitted here is inexpensive and straightforward.
Does it have Wi-Fi?
No. This is a small-form-factor desktop with wired Gigabit Ethernet. If you need wireless, a USB Wi-Fi adapter or an internal card would be added separately.
Does it come with a monitor, keyboard or mouse?
No. The listing covers the desktop unit and its power cable. Peripherals and displays are sold separately.
What warranty applies to this machine?
This unit carries a 3-month Reboot IT warranty against hardware faults, reflecting its age and entry-level price point.
Every Lenovo ThinkCentre M73 sold by Reboot IT is covered by a 3-month warranty against hardware faults, backed by our own workshop rather than a third party. If something fails inside the warranty period we repair, replace or refund it.
Reboot IT has operated from Melbourne since 2001, refurbishing ex-corporate and ex-government IT equipment for businesses, schools and home users across Australia. Every unit is inspected, tested, data-wiped and graded in-house before it is listed.
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout. Orders include a tax invoice, and our support team is contactable by phone or email for setup questions after delivery.

Bring your own operating system
No OS is installed, which suits Linux builds, workshop benches and organisations that deploy machines from their own standard image.
Cheap and simple to upgrade
Standard DDR3 DIMM slots and a conventional SATA bay make adding memory or fitting an SSD straightforward. An SSD is the upgrade we would do first.
Four threads for the basics
The i3-4130 runs two cores with Hyper-Threading at 3.4GHz, keeping email, documents and browsing smoother than a plain dual-core of the same age.
DVD writer still fitted
Useful for reading archive discs, legacy software installers and older backups that newer machines cannot open at all.
