The MSI AE222 puts a complete desktop computer behind a 21.5" Full HD 1920x1080 display, so the screen, processor, storage and optical drive share a single footprint on the desk and one power cable. This unit is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i5-4460S processor with 4GB of RAM and a 1TB SATA hard drive, and it has a built-in DVD writer for discs you still need to read or burn. It is supplied with no operating system installed, which suits buyers who want to load their own licensed operating system, a Linux distribution, or a standard company image. Every unit is inspected and tested by our technicians in Melbourne before it is listed, and it is backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.

The Intel Core i5-4460S is a four-core, four-thread desktop processor running at 2.9GHz. That is enough for web browsing, email, word processing, spreadsheets, video playback and lightweight line-of-business applications such as reception, booking or point-of-sale software. The 4GB of RAM is suited to one or two applications at a time; buyers who plan to keep many browser tabs open should consider adding memory. The 1TB SATA hard drive gives generous storage for files and media. Because no operating system is installed, you choose what runs on it: install your own licensed operating system, deploy a managed company image, or use a lightweight Linux distribution to get the most out of the hardware.
