The Core Ultra 5 135U is designed around sustained, quiet productivity rather than short bursts. In practice that means thirty-plus browser tabs, an Outlook profile with several mailboxes, Teams running in the background and a large Excel workbook open simultaneously — without the fan noise and thermal throttling that older 13-inch ultraportables produce under the same load. The 16GB of LPDDR5x memory is soldered and runs at high bandwidth, which is what keeps that kind of multitasking smooth on integrated graphics.
Video calls are where the Meteor Lake generation separates itself most clearly from previous machines. The dedicated NPU takes on background segmentation, eye-contact correction and noise suppression, leaving the CPU free for whatever you are actually presenting. A long client call with screen sharing and a document open alongside it stays responsive, and battery drain over a full meeting day is noticeably gentler than on comparable 13th-generation Core i5 hardware.
For creative and field work, the convertible form factor earns its keep. What does "certified refurbished" actually mean here?
Every unit is wiped, tested function by function, cleaned and graded by our technicians in Melbourne before it is listed. Windows 11 Pro is freshly installed and activated, and anything that fails testing is repaired or the unit is not sold.
How is the Core Ultra 5 135U different from an older Core i5?
It is Intel's Meteor Lake architecture — a newer design than the 12th and 13th generation Core i5 chips. It adds low-power efficient cores for background tasks and an integrated NPU that handles AI workloads such as camera effects and noise suppression, which improves battery life during video calls.
Can I upgrade the memory or storage later?
The 16GB of LPDDR5x memory is soldered to the mainboard and cannot be changed. The 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD can be replaced with a larger drive by a qualified technician, though doing so yourself may affect the warranty — talk to us first.
Does it come with a stylus or pen?
A pen is not included unless it is specifically listed in the product images or title. The touchscreen works with finger input out of the box, and is compatible with standard active pens sold separately.

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
