This is a purpose-built conferencing display, and that is where it earns its place. The webcam, dual microphones and speakers all connect to the host machine over a single USB cable, so a hot-desk or meeting-room position needs one video cable and one USB cable and it is ready for Teams, Zoom, Meet or Webex. For organisations still buying separate webcams, headsets and speakerphones for every desk, consolidating into the monitor is usually cheaper and always tidier.
As a general-purpose office display it holds up well on its own merits. The 23.8" IPS panel at Full HD gives a comfortable pixel pitch — sharp text without display scaling, which matters for older line-of-business software — and the 178° viewing angles mean colour does not wash out when someone leans in from the side. That side-angle behaviour is a real advantage over cheaper TN panels in any setting where two people share a screen. The 7ms response and 60Hz refresh are fine for documents, spreadsheets, browsing and video calls, though not aimed at fast-paced gaming.
The one thing to plan for is the mount. There is no stand or base in the box, and the E240c's height-adjustable stand — a feature you will see described in the manufacturer's own marketing — is not part of this listing. You will need a VESA 100x100 wall bracket, desk arm or mount before the panel can be used. Priced accordingly, it is a good buy if you are already fitting arms, and the wrong buy if you expected to sit it on a desk out of the carton.

Does this monitor come with a stand?
No. This is a panel-only unit — there is no stand or base included, and the height-adjustable stand shown in HP's marketing material is not part of this listing. You will need a 100x100mm VESA wall bracket or monitor arm to use it.
Do the webcam, microphones and speakers work?
Yes — all three are tested before the unit is graded and listed. They connect to your computer over the monitor's USB upstream cable and appear as standard audio and video devices, so no special drivers are needed on Windows, macOS or Linux.
Will it work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes. The camera, microphones and speakers are recognised as standard USB devices, so they can be selected in Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex or any other conferencing application. The monitor was originally certified for Skype for Business.
What cables are supplied?
A power cable is included. Video cables (HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA) and the USB upstream cable are not supplied as standard — you will need the USB cable for the webcam, mics and speakers. Let us know what you need and we can quote them with your order.
Are the screens checked for dead pixels?
Yes. Every panel is powered up and inspected across full-screen test patterns for dead or stuck pixels, backlight bleed and uniformity issues before it is graded and listed.
What is the difference between Excellent and Good?
Cosmetics only. Both grades are function tested to the same standard — Excellent units have minimal marks, Good units carry light wear such as minor scuffs on the chassis or bezel.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout. Local pickup from our Melbourne warehouse is also available.
