Dell Latitude 7400 — 14" FHD Business Ultrabook
A certified refurbished 14" business ultrabook with a quad-core Intel Core i5-8365U vPro, 8GB of memory, a 256GB NVMe SSD and a Full HD anti-glare display, running Windows 11 Pro. Covered by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.
Key benefits
-
A 14" screen in a 13" body — The 7400 was Dell's answer to shrinking bezels: a full 14" panel in a chassis close to the footprint of a 13" laptop.
-
Quad-core with vPro — The i5-8365U has four cores and eight threads plus Intel vPro, so it can be managed remotely in a fleet rather than touched individually.
-
Low-power Full HD panel — This configuration has the Super Low Power display, which is the specification that gets the most hours out of the 60Wh battery.
-
Every port you need built in — Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, USB-A and microSD, so a desk or projector setup needs no adapters.
-
Carbon fibre construction — Lighter and more rigid than the aluminium used further down the Latitude range.
-
Backlit keyboard — Standard on this build, along with a 60Wh ExpressCharge-capable battery.
Performance in use
The Latitude 7400 sits at the top of Dell's mainstream business range, and it was built for people who carry a laptop rather than move it between desks. The Core i5-8365U is a quad-core, eight-thread processor with vPro management, and paired with a 256GB NVMe drive it feels quick at the things business laptops actually do: email, documents, spreadsheets, video calls and a browser with a working number of tabs open.
The display configuration matters here. This is the Super Low Power Full HD panel, chosen by Dell specifically to extend runtime, and combined with the 60Wh battery it is one of the longer-lasting machines of its generation. The anti-glare finish handles overhead office lighting without the reflections a glossy touch panel gives you.
The honest constraint is memory. 8GB is workable for office software and moderate multitasking, but a heavy browser session alongside Teams and Office will reach its limit. If your work regularly pushes past that, look at a 16GB configuration instead — the processor has plenty left, the memory is what runs out first.

What we check before it is listed
Every machine through our Melbourne workshop is powered up and tested component by component, with the results recorded against its serial number.
-
Hardware scan — processor, memory, storage, display panel, graphics and wireless identified and verified against the manufacturer's original factory configuration for that serial number.
-
Storage health — SMART data read from the drive; drives showing early warning signs are replaced rather than listed.
-
Battery condition — measured against design capacity and recorded as a percentage.
-
Secure data erasure — every drive wiped to recognised data destruction standards before reimaging.
-
Functional testing — keyboard, trackpad, ports, camera, microphone, speakers, wireless and display each checked by hand.
-
Cosmetic grading — chassis, lid, palm rest and screen inspected under light and graded honestly.
Frequently asked questions
Is it a touchscreen?
No. This configuration has the 14" Full HD anti-glare non-touch panel. The 7400 was also sold as a 2-in-1 convertible — this is the standard clamshell.
Can I add more memory or storage?
The M.2 drive is replaceable, so storage is straightforward to upgrade. Memory configuration varies across 7400 builds, so check the machine before ordering modules.
Does it have 4G or LTE?
No. This unit has no mobile broadband card fitted. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in.
What is vPro and does it matter to me?
vPro is Intel's remote management platform, used by IT departments to service machines without physical access. If you are buying a single laptop for personal use it makes no difference; for a business fleet it is a genuine advantage.
How is the battery life?
Good for its generation. The 60Wh battery paired with the Super Low Power display was one of the longer-running configurations Dell offered in a 14" business laptop.
What is included in the box?
The laptop, a compatible power adapter and a tax invoice. Original packaging, manuals and accessories are not included unless specifically noted.
