The Aruba CX 6200F 48G is a modern access and small-aggregation switch built on AOS-CX — the same operating system Aruba runs from the edge to the data centre. All 48 Gigabit ports run at line rate, and the four 10G SFP+ uplinks provide fast, resilient paths to the core, so file transfers, backups and everyday traffic move without congestion.

AOS-CX brings genuine Layer 3 capability to the edge: static and dynamic routing, ACLs and VRF allow flexible segmentation without a separate router. Its database-driven architecture and built-in REST API and Python support make the switch automation-friendly and easy to integrate into modern, programmable networks.

Cloud-native management through Aruba Central gives centralised visibility, configuration and troubleshooting across the estate, while local CLI, web and NetEdit options remain available. This is the JL726A non-PoE model — ideal where powered devices are not required or PoE is supplied separately. It suits campus edge, branch and SMB deployments wanting a current, supported switching platform.

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
