Dell Latitude 5430 — 14" Full HD Business Laptop with 32GB Memory
A professionally tested and graded 14-inch business laptop built around Intel's 12th Generation Core i5-1245U, a 10-core vPro-capable processor, with 32GB of dual-channel DDR4 and a 512GB NVMe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro. It pairs a Full HD anti-glare non-touch display with Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6E and a Full HD infrared camera with a privacy shutter. Backed by a 12-month warranty with free standard AU shipping.
Key Benefits
-
32GB of dual-channel DDR4 — double the usual build: Two 16GB SODIMMs fitted and running in dual channel. That is enough headroom for virtual machines, very large spreadsheets and datasets, and the kind of heavy multitasking a standard 16GB machine starts to struggle with. The platform supports up to 64GB.
-
12th Generation 10-core Core i5-1245U: Intel's hybrid architecture pairs performance cores with efficient cores across 10 cores and 12 threads, turbo to 4.4GHz, with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It is a genuinely quick machine for office and professional workloads, and it is vPro-capable silicon for fleets that use Intel management.
-
14-inch Full HD anti-glare display: A 1920×1080 WVA panel at 250 nits with a matte finish, giving sharp text, wide viewing angles and a generous working area without reflections under office lighting.
-
Full HD infrared camera with privacy shutter: A FHD/IR camera with temporal noise reduction and a physical shutter, so video calls look sharp, Windows Hello face sign-in is available, and the lens can be physically covered when you want it covered.
-
Thunderbolt 4, USB-C charging and Gigabit Ethernet: Thunderbolt 4 handles single-cable docking and dual external displays, the 65W adapter charges over USB-C, and unlike most thin laptops this one keeps a built-in Gigabit Ethernet port for wired-only sites.
-
12-month warranty & free AU shipping: Every unit is tested, graded and covered by a 12-month warranty, with free standard shipping anywhere in Australia.
Performance In Use
The Latitude 5430 is a current-generation business machine and it feels like one. The 12th Generation Core i5-1245U uses Intel's hybrid design — performance cores for foreground work, efficient cores for background tasks — across 10 cores and 12 threads, turboing to 4.4GHz. Combined with Iris Xe graphics and a fast PCIe NVMe SSD, everyday work is effectively instant: email, large documents, heavy spreadsheets, dozens of browser tabs and video calls all at once.
The 32GB of memory is what sets this configuration apart. Most machines in this class ship with 8GB or 16GB, and memory is usually the first thing that limits them. With 32GB in dual channel you can run a local virtual machine alongside your normal workload, work with genuinely large datasets, or keep a heavy development or design toolchain open without the system paging to disk. If you have ever watched a 16GB laptop grind through a big Excel model, this is the difference.
Connectivity is current rather than carried over. Wi-Fi 6E gives access to the 6GHz band where your network supports it, Bluetooth 5.4 handles peripherals, and Thunderbolt 4 drives a dock and dual monitors down a single cable while charging the machine. The chassis is WWAN-capable but this unit was not built with a mobile broadband card, so there is no LTE and no SIM slot. The display is a non-touch panel — if you need touch, this is not the right unit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a touchscreen model?
No. This unit has the Full HD anti-glare non-touch panel, confirmed against its factory configuration. The Latitude 5430 was sold with both touch and non-touch panels that are otherwise identical on paper, so we check each machine individually — this one is non-touch.
Is the memory really 32GB, and can it go higher?
Yes — two 16GB DDR4 SODIMMs are fitted and running in dual channel. The platform supports up to 64GB, which would mean replacing both modules with 32GB sticks. Nothing is soldered, so the memory is fully serviceable.
How does it charge, and does it come with a charger?
Yes, a 65W USB-C power adapter is included. This model charges over USB-C rather than a barrel connector, so a compatible USB-C PD charger or Thunderbolt dock will also power it.
How is the battery, and how long will it last?
This is a 58Wh 4-cell ExpressCharge-capable battery. Refurbished batteries are tested and graded, and a Good-grade unit is between 50% and 70% of original capacity, so expect meaningfully shorter runtime than a new machine. A 30-day battery warranty is included, and replacement batteries for this model are readily available if you want longer runtime.
Does it have mobile broadband or a SIM slot?
No. The chassis is WWAN-capable, but this unit was not built with a mobile broadband card, so there is no LTE and no active SIM slot. It connects via Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth or the built-in Gigabit Ethernet port.
Can I use Windows Hello face sign-in?
Yes. This unit has a Full HD infrared camera, so Windows Hello facial recognition is supported. There is also a physical privacy shutter over the lens.
How many external monitors can it drive?
Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI together support a multi-monitor setup, and a single Thunderbolt dock can drive dual external displays while charging the laptop over the same cable.
How much does shipping cost?
This laptop qualifies for free standard AU shipping, delivered anywhere in Australia at no extra cost.
