The Hikvision DS-7616NI-SP is a 16-channel network video recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports — power and connect IP cameras directly via a single Ethernet cable per camera. H.265+ compression, HDMI output, and ONVIF compatibility make it a practical backbone for IP CCTV deployments in small to medium commercial sites. No HDD included — add your own drive to begin recording. Backed by a 12-month Reboot IT warranty.

The DS-7616NI-SP suits commercial CCTV installations in retail, warehouses, car parks, and office buildings where 16 cameras cover the site. The built-in PoE eliminates the need for a separate PoE switch in most camera runs — a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable from each camera to the NVR handles both power and video. Maximum PoE camera cable run is typically up to 100 metres.

H.265+ compression is a significant practical advantage: a typical full-HD camera recording at 2MP with H.265+ consumes roughly half the storage of H.264 at equivalent quality. For a 16-camera site retaining 30 days of footage, this means a meaningfully smaller HDD requirement — or more days of retention on the same drive. For longer retention periods or higher resolution cameras, larger drives (4TB–10TB surveillance-grade) are recommended.

All-in-one Solution for Home Office

I was looking for an in-expensive all-in-one solution for my home office to replace my existing desktop and monitor. I found this EliteOne 800 on reboot IT for under $200. Fair tech for price

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.

Works excellently as advertised.

The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
