The Compaq L5009tm 15" Touchscreen LCD Monitor from HP uses Acoustic Pulse Recognition technology that provides a unique way of sensing touches on a display. By recognizing the sound created when the glass is touched at a given position, the cursor position is instantly updated to the touched location. This allows the screen to be used with a pen, a credit card, or a fingernail to quickly and accurately tap from screen to screen. The surface of the screen has been treated with a film that provides extra durability and continues to work when wet or scratched. This monitor connects to your computer via VGA and supports resolutions up to 1024 x 768. To enable the touchscreen function, you need to install driver software and connect the monitor to the computer using a USB cable. This monitor features 225 cd/m² brightness and a 400:1 contrast ratio which allows it to display brighter colors and darker blacks. It also offers 120°/100° viewing angles and a response time of 17 ms.
