The NBN CM8200B is the HFC connection box, the cable modem network termination device (NTD) used on NBN hybrid fibre-coaxial services. This unit is supplied with no power adapter, so it suits a replacement or spare where you already have the original adapter. It powered on when tested and is graded Excellent by Reboot IT in Melbourne. It comes with a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.

Performance in Use
The CM8200B sits between the coaxial wall outlet of an NBN HFC service and your own router. It terminates the HFC connection and hands the service to your router over Ethernet, so the router then handles Wi-Fi and your local network. A spare connection box is useful when the original unit has been damaged, lost in a move or needs to be swapped out quickly.
