Does this phone work on its own?
No — the LIP-8024E is a system handset that registers to an LG-Ericsson iPECS call server. It is ideal for adding to or replacing handsets on an existing iPECS platform.
What makes the "E" model different from the "D"?
The LIP-8024E has dual Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000), whereas the 8024D runs 10/100. If you want the phone's PC pass-through port to run at full Gigabit speed, the "E" is the model to choose.
Is it powered over Ethernet?
Yes. It supports 802.3af PoE Class 2, so a single cable carries both data and power from your switch. A compatible power adapter can be used if you don't have PoE.
Can I add more buttons?
Yes. It supports DSS/LSS expansion modules adding 12, 40, or 48 extra programmable buttons for high-volume reception roles.
What condition will I receive it in?
The handset has been professionally cleaned, tested, and graded by Reboot IT technicians in Melbourne. Grade A (Excellent) shows minimal marks; Grade B (Good) shows light wear. Every function is verified before dispatch.

Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
