What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.
What payment options are available?
We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!
We ensure secure processing of your payment information and do not retain or have access to your credit card details.
A certified refurbished iTach IP2SL puts any RS-232 device on your network. It presents a serial port over 10/100 Ethernet so control systems, scripts or a technician at a laptop can reach a projector, display, matrix switcher or PDU from anywhere on the LAN. Handles up to 8 simultaneous connections and configures through its own built-in web server. Backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT. Please note: the power adapter is not included with this unit.
The classic job for an IP2SL is a ceiling-mounted projector or a wall-mounted display that only speaks RS-232. Running a serial cable back to a rack is often impossible, but there is nearly always structured cabling nearby. The IP2SL sits at the device, takes an Ethernet drop, and the control system talks to it over TCP as though the serial cable ran the whole way.
It is equally at home in a rack. Managed PDUs, older UPS units, environmental monitors and industrial controllers frequently expose configuration only through a console port. Putting an IP2SL on that port means the next firmware change or log pull happens from a desk instead of from a crash cart, and because the unit accepts up to eight simultaneous sessions, a monitoring poller and a human can share the device without fighting over it.
Two limits worth stating plainly. First, this is the IP2SL, not the IP2SL-P, so it does not take Power over Ethernet — it needs its own 5 to 16 V DC supply or USB power, and no adapter is supplied with this unit. Second, it is RS-232 only: RS-485 and RS-422 devices are not supported, and if you need infrared or contact-closure control instead, those are the IP2IR and IP2CC models in the same iTach family.

| Grade A — Excellent | Excellent to very good cosmetic condition. May carry light scratches or other minor blemishes from normal service. |
| Grade B — Good | Good cosmetic condition with more visible wear, scuffing or marking to the casing. Function and performance are unaffected. |
Cosmetic grading describes the casing only. Every unit, whatever its grade, carries the same warranty.
Is a power adapter included?
No, and that is reflected in the price. The unit takes 5 to 16 V DC at 300 mA. It will also run from a USB power cable connected to any USB port, charger or power bank, so in many cases a cable you already own is enough to get it working.
Does it support Power over Ethernet?
No. PoE is only available on the IP2SL-P. This is the standard IP2SL, so it needs a DC supply or USB power. Plugging it into a PoE switch port will not power it.
What can I connect to it?
Any RS-232 device with a serial port — projectors, displays, matrix switchers, amplifiers, managed PDUs, UPS units, environmental monitors and industrial controllers are all typical. The connector on the iTach is a DB9 male, so most devices need a standard straight or null-modem cable depending on their pinout.
How many things can talk to it at once?
Up to eight simultaneous connections, so a control processor, a monitoring script and a technician can all hold sessions to the same serial device at the same time.
How is it set up?
Through its own built-in web server. Give it an address by DHCP or set one statically, browse to it, and configure the baud rate, parity and flow control from any browser. No vendor software needs to be installed.
Does it work with RS-485 or RS-422?
No. The IP2SL is RS-232 only. RS-485 and RS-422 devices need a different converter.

Any Serial Device Goes On The Network
A projector, display, amplifier, PDU or UPS with only a DB9 port becomes reachable from any machine on the LAN, with no PC parked next to it.
Runs On USB Power
The adapter is missing, but the unit accepts 5 to 16V DC or a plain USB power cable, so a spare charger or rack USB port is usually enough to bring it up.
Eight Sessions At Once
A control processor, a monitoring script and a technician can all hold connections to the same serial device simultaneously rather than queuing for one cable.
Set Up From A Browser
An integrated web server handles baud rate, parity and flow control, so there is no vendor utility to install and no driver to chase on a modern OS.
