The Latitude 9430 sits above the 7000 series in Dell’s range, and the difference shows in the materials and the display. The 16:10 QHD+ panel is the standout: at 2560×1600 it carries meaningfully more vertical space than a 1080p screen, which matters for documents, code and long spreadsheets.
With an i7-1265U vPro, 32GB of LPDDR5 and a 1TB drive, this is a configuration that does not need managing. Large datasets, several virtual machines, a heavy browser session and a video call coexist without paging, and there is room to keep substantial project data locally rather than reaching for the network.
As a convertible it folds flat for annotation and sign-off. The trade-off against a workstation is graphics: this is integrated Iris Xe, so video editing and 3D remain outside its comfortable range.

What makes the 9430 different from a Latitude 7430?
The 9000 series is the tier above: better materials, thinner bezels, and a higher-resolution 16:10 display. This unit also carries 32GB and a 1TB drive.
Is the screen really higher resolution than Full HD?
Yes. At 2560×1600 it is QHD+ in a 16:10 shape, so noticeably taller as well as sharper than a 1920×1080 panel.
Can the memory be upgraded?
No. LPDDR5 memory on this chassis is integrated, so the 32GB configuration is fixed — which is why the 32GB build is the one worth having.
Does it have mobile broadband?
No. This unit was built without a WWAN card. It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Is Windows included and licensed?
Yes. Windows 11 Pro is installed and licensed.
