Please note this particular unit is BIOS-password-locked. Is the BIOS locked, and what does that mean?
Yes — this unit has a BIOS/UEFI password set. In everyday use it makes no difference: the laptop powers on and boots straight into Windows 11 Pro from the installed SSD, and all hardware, ports, wireless and the touchscreen work normally. The only limitation is that BIOS/UEFI setup settings cannot be accessed or changed (for example, altering boot order or BIOS configuration). If you need full BIOS access, this unit is not suitable.
Does it have built-in 5G?
Yes — it has an Intel 5000 Advanced 5G modem (DW5931) with eSIM. Activate an eSIM or insert a SIM and you have mobile broadband anywhere, managed automatically by Windows alongside Wi-Fi.
Is it a true 2-in-1 with pen support?
Yes — a 360° convertible hinge lets you use it as a laptop, tablet, tent or stand, and the QHD+ touchscreen supports an active pen for notes and mark-up.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
The 16GB LPDDR5 RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded. The M.2 NVMe SSD can be replaced with a larger drive.

Just having trouble greeting it linked to the internet otherwise it’s okay.
Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
