What is a refurbished device?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned item that has been restored to meet high-quality standards. At Reboot IT, we adhere to strict quality guidelines, ensuring that our refurbished products are not the same as used or secondhand items. We meticulously clean, test, and assess each device, replacing worn parts with high-quality components.
Unlike used items, which lack guarantees and rely solely on the seller's word regarding condition, refurbished devices come with assurance of quality and reliability.
What payment options are available?
We offer a variety of payment options to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible! You can pay using all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay, Zip Pay, and PayPal. If you prefer, we also accept bank deposits and even cash for in-store purchases!
We ensure secure processing of your payment information and do not retain or have access to your credit card details.
A compact, plug-and-play 4K HDMI distribution amplifier that takes a single HDMI source and drives two synchronized displays without any programming or control system. Every unit is certified refurbished, fully tested in Melbourne and backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.
In a boardroom or meeting room, the HD-DA2-4K-E typically sits between a laptop or room PC and two displays — a main screen for the room and a smaller confidence monitor at the presenter’s end, or a second screen around a corner table. Because both outputs are synchronized, whatever appears on the primary display appears on the second at the same instant, with no visible lag between the two. Audio for the presentation, whether it is Dolby TrueHD from a video call platform or standard stereo, passes through to whichever display or AV receiver is handling sound, so there is nothing extra to configure on the audio side. With no control processor or programming required, an IT team can install the HD-DA2-4K-E and have both screens live in minutes.
Classrooms and training rooms often need one lesson visible on two screens — a projector at the front of the room and a repeater display for students seated further back, or a second room sharing the same lesson. The HD-DA2-4K-E takes the teacher’s laptop or classroom PC as a single 4K HDMI source and drives both displays from the one connection, so the lesson content, including Deep Color video and 3D material where used, appears identically on each screen. Because the unit needs no ongoing configuration once EDID mode is set, it is a low-maintenance fit for a school AV estate where reliability matters more than programmability.
For digital signage, the HD-DA2-4K-E lets one media player drive two displays — side by side in a retail window, back to back in a foyer, or one screen in each of two adjacent spaces — from a single HDMI output. The thin, under-1-inch chassis tucks behind a display or into a comms cabinet without adding bulk, and freestanding, surface, or single rack-rail mounting means it fits whatever cabinet or wall space is available. As a discontinued Crestron model, superseded by the HD-DA2-4KZ-E, it is best suited to expanding or replacing a unit in an existing installation rather than a brand-new platform build, and is supplied as a standalone distribution amplifier without ongoing manufacturer firmware updates.
The single HDMI input on the HD-DA2-4K-E is also DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort compatible using the appropriate adapter, and both outputs are DVI compatible in the same way, giving integrators flexibility when matching sources and displays that use different connector types. The unit is HDCP compliant, so protected 4K content from set-top boxes, media players and computers is handled correctly across both outputs. It does not include Ethernet or network-based control, and it does not pass CEC commands between source and display — display power and input switching still need to be handled at the display itself. This keeps the HD-DA2-4K-E focused on one job: reliable, synchronized 4K distribution without adding complexity to the control layer.

What does the Crestron HD-DA2-4K-E do?
It takes a single 4K HDMI source and splits it into two synchronized outputs, so both displays show exactly the same picture at the same time — no programming or control system needed.
Does it support 4K at 60Hz?
Yes. It handles up to 4096x2160 (4K DCI) or 3840x2160 (UHD) resolution at 60Hz with 4:2:0 24-bit chroma, or 24Hz at 4:4:4 30-bit, with Deep Color and 3D support.
Does it extract or de-embed audio to a separate output?
No. Audio, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and up to 8-channel LPCM, passes straight through to the connected display or AV receiver — there is no audio de-embedding.
Can I use a DVI or DisplayPort source?
Yes. The HDMI input is DVI and Dual-Mode DisplayPort compatible with the appropriate adapter, and both outputs are DVI compatible as well.
Does it need network setup or a control system to work?
No. It is plug and play — connect the source and both displays and it works immediately. It has no Ethernet or network-based control and does not pass CEC commands.
Is the power supply included?
Yes. The HD-DA2-4K-E ships with its external PW-2407WU power pack, which accepts 100–240V AC input.
Is shipping free?
Shipping costs apply based on size and destination — rates are calculated at checkout.
