What's the difference between the 830 G9 and 840 G9?
The 840 G9 has a larger 14" screen (vs 13.3"), a built-in RJ-45 Ethernet port, and is slightly heavier at ~1.37kg vs 1.27kg. Both use the same 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU generation with WUXGA displays and Thunderbolt 4.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
The 8GB DDR5 RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. The M.2 NVMe slot accepts larger drives. Contact us before upgrading for warranty guidance.

Just having trouble greeting it linked to the internet otherwise it’s okay.
Fair tech for price, good specs for era, serves the purpose. The black keyboard is an interesting rubber like texture clearly by design to pad the screen and avoid the keyboard touching. Screen is great. Still looking for magic formula to enable computer use in the bright bright sunshine. Keyboard taps are loud for someone who likes silent touch. The perfect PC has to exist, like build a bear.
The laptop was sold with a warning about worn keycaps. In fact they had been obviously vandalised (ex school laptops, perhaps?). The keyboard worked fine, and the rest of the laptop too. I'm using it as a file server, so I don't need the keyboard much. So very pleased, and also pleased with reboot-it's service - as always, excellent, and quick responses to any queries.
