It joins two SFP ports directly, with no separate optics or patch leads. It is inspected by our team in Melbourne before it is listed and is backed by a 12-month warranty from Reboot IT.

Key Benefits

Gigabit SFP links. For 1G SFP ports, Gigabit Ethernet and 1/2/4G Fibre Channel.

0.5m length. Sized for links within a rack.

Passive copper. No electronics in the cable to power or configure.

Fixed SFP ends. No transceivers to buy for either end of the link.

Hot-pluggable. Plug it into, or out of, a live SFP port.

Performance in Use

A passive SFP DAC is the simplest way to join two SFP ports that sit close together, such as two stacked switches or a switch and a firewall in the same rack. The connectors are part of the cable, so there are no optics to match and no fibre to clean. 10Gtek rates this cable family for Gigabit Ethernet and 1, 2 and 4G Fibre Channel.
